Charlie Georgiou has worn out five random orbit sanders since he founded his specialist deck building business Decks Unlimited in 1992, which is a testament to his attention to detail.

Charlie stands by his work, literally and figuratively. “I mitre all my decking joints for a seamless finish,” he says. “I use a raised boundary, so that the end grain of the decking does not get seen, and put a rolled facing on the capping of the handrails for a softer finish. I absolutely stand by my work,” Charlie emphasises, “and have many happy customers!”
